ZioZeb
Hi guys, a couple of questions. First: is it better to link fans with the cpu temp or coolant temp? Second: how to setup a good curve in custom settings? And, at the end, the BIG QUESTION: in my case (Corsair 600t), with radiator mounted on top, fans is better in push or pull? I know there are various schools of thought. Thank you!!
Toasted
It's better to link it to the coolant temp as you'll notice if you group it on to the CPU temp, the fans will run at a faster RPM. Click the H100i Fan X, Under Mode choose Custom and you can manually set a fan curve. It's recommended to install the fans that push cool air (outside) through the radiator. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 15, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 15, 2013 Coolant temp. Coolant is the one dissipating heat from your CPU and not the fan, so it is better for the fans to adjust the speed based on the coolant temp and not CPU temp. By default, push, but that can change depending on how the system is set up.

By default, push, but that can change depending on how the system is set up. My H100i is mounted in a Corsair 600t White edition. I have 200mm stock led fan front panel in intake, 120mm stock fan rear panel in exaust, and i have replaced the 200mm top fan with the radiator. The two 120mm stock fans of H100i on roof, in exaust mode. I presume that if i Mount these fans in intake, the only rear fan is too little to exaust all hot air in the case... or not? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 15, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 15, 2013 That makes your set up positive air pressure which is ok... but of course some people may say otherwise. It's just a matter of preference to which what set up gives you the best result.
Nemasys
I have mine setup in the top of a Coolermaster Storm Trooper in a pull config like so: -Top of case -Fans -Radiator The fans pull air thru the radiator and push it out the top of the case. I had it installed at first as an exhaust push like so: -Top of case -Radiator -Fans So fans pushing air thru the radiator and out the top of the case. Either way I have not seen a performance increase nor decrease. I did not change my custom fan speed profile either and the fans remained at the same rpm as before. The only advantage this setup offers is how easy it is to clean up, open the side panel and simply vaccum the dust off the radiator grill, if you have it in a push config, the dust gets stuck between the fans and the radiator so to properly clean it you have to take the fans appart.
