Cooling & Lightning Kit, LED-strip problem

Hi all and greetings from Sweden!

My first post in here so hopefully it´s in the right place.

Just bought myself the Corsair Cooling & Lightning Kit which was put in place this weekend. Everything seems to work as it should except for one single thing.

I cant change the colour or ligthning mode of the LED-strip at all with the Corsair Link 2 gui.

It shows as a device in the gui, but nothing happens when i play around in the config panel of the LED-strip. Though i can change the colour via the button on the lightning-node itself manually.

Is this some known problem or what could be wrong?

Take a screenshot of the Device Tab under "Options" > Devices and upload it here.

As in answering what firmwares i have for the different devices? I´m at work right now but will do it as soon as i get home.

But i did do updates to both the cooling and the lightning nodes yesterday. Though i can´t remember the versions. But as far as i know they are the latest in both cases.

mmm, windows 8.

Have you tried running the link software as admin.

Some suggest installing .NET 4.5

Hmm, not sure if i´ve tried that one. Will check that asap.

Do you think you will need to intall it from get go with Admin rights or if it´s enough just to run it as Admin?

Thx for the tip!

Windows 8 is not supported if I understood your previous post, you are running Windows 8 correct?

If you are I would uninstall the software and down load it again then before you install it right click on the file and select compatibility and set it to run in Windows 32 Bit compatibility mode and run as Administrator. Then run the setup again and be sure to reboot after you uninstall the current software.
