edfeld
I am looking to replace the stock cpu cooler as my computer overheats and shuts down often. I was looking to get the H55 cpu cooling unit but it comes with a 120mm fan. I have an HP mid tower case with an 80mm fan, is there anyway to use a 120mm in place of the 80mm fan? I think the likely answer is I need a new case to add any cpu cooler that will make an impact but was hoping to find some other solution.
wytnyt
you can if you have the screw holes to mount a 120mm fan or are to mod it to mount it, being its a mid tower i would think it should already to handle that fan whats the model # ? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 11, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 11, 2013 Knowing that you have an OEM system, it may be limited to space.. but like what wytnyt suggested, you may have to modify the case to fit the radiator, unless the case has already an ability to mount 120mm fan.
