Huber666
Dear Corsair Support, few months ago I have bought a TX650 power supply, but unfortunately i lost the proof of purchase (receipt, invoice). So in case of power supply failure, I cannot claim a warranty repair in the shop (seller) i've bought it. Is there any possibility, that if my power supply will break down, I will still be able to receive help from Corsair, and count on Corsair to repair or replace it? From my experience, for example Seagate does not require receipt/invoice to replace broken HDD. If Corsair is also so kind, may I request the date from which my warranty will now start? I assume it will be date of manufacture, but is corsair support able to check it with my Serial Number? Regards, Dawid from Poland.
Administrators Technobeard Posted February 10, 2013 Administrators Share Posted February 10, 2013 Yes, it would start from the date on the serial number. We reserve the right to ask for a receipt, but we don't generally need it unless you're randomly picked or something.
Huber666
Thank You for Your reply. How may I receive info concerning this date? Do You ask for a receipt before sending broken power supply, or after receiving it in Your HQ?
Administrators Technobeard Posted February 11, 2013 Administrators Share Posted February 11, 2013 Generally before, but we reserve the right to ask for it, so it could be after (there'd have to be a good reason to ask for it after it reaches the RMA depot). I wouldn't worry about it.
