zepzeppelin
Hi Guys, I bought myself a H80i yesterday, and I was expecting to see some lower temps than the 81c I was getting while stress testing my 3570K with prime95 that I got while using a Noctua NH-9UB. Imagine the shock I got when after I had got everything setup that when doing the same test I instantly hit 105c!!! I took it to my local PC store, and the guy said he had tightened up the connections, ran prime for 3 hours and saw only 71c, but strangely when I got it back here yet again it hit 105!! I really need some advice on how to check everything's running ok, and it's not faulty
Toasted
When you turn the computer on, do the H80i fans spin? Does the L.E.D. turn on?
Ripshod
Nice to see you resolved your issue zep. Could have popped in and told us. :D: HURRAY!!! I fixed it, I noticed he had put it on upside down and the heat sink logo (Corsair)was vertical instead of horizontal, also the radiator was on upside down. I took off the heat sink, and there was just one tiny corner that the thermal paste had covered. I have now repositioned everything the way it should be and my temps right now running prime @4.4GHz are 64c Max looking on the Corsair website and seeing the way everything was on there got me wondering.
