wolbur
Just got a fresh AX760 back from Corsair with overnight shipping (you guys are great!), but unfortunately it suffers from the same issue I sent the first one for. :[pouts: Headache-inducing coilwhine. I now turn my hope to AX760i instead as I heard whispers of some saying it would be free of this issue. Have anyone else been in my position and can say with great certainty that selecting the i-series does indeed help? Or is it just a dream?
psteph
The only con I read about is that the fan ramps up quicker than on the non-"i" version. No mention of coil whine on Google for the AX760i. I'm still waiting for an answer on this forum too.
peanutz94
wolbur, the best thing for you to do is to calll CS by phone and let them know about this. They will swap them out again if thats what you want. Since this is multiple times for you , they may offer to change models and will also pick up the shipping costs! shawnoen
Nothing wrong with your system, Corsair wont address the issue so youll just get another one that makes noise. Loose windings inside the transformer is the source of the noise.
