aspiriini
Hi, i have Intel DZ77GA-70K with Corsair CMP16GX3M2A1600C10 System doesn't boot if I try to use that with XMP profile. So my memory speed is now limited to 1333mhz. I don't have clue about those volts, CL-speeds etc. What values I should use to get that 1600mhz work too? Afterwards I realized that I should have bought CMD16GX3M2A1866C9 but it's too late now..
peanutz94
I believe in your case you just need to add a little more voltage. But first let start from the beginning making sure your BIOS is up to dat. If not please make sure to download and flash to the latest version. From there you will need to load set-up defaults and enable XMP But then manually set the memory to 1.55v Most MB tend to under volt the memory buss causing little issues like this. Either kit you yopu chose would have been fine. There is real no difference between the CL9 part ve the CL100 part other then the CL9 would be slightly faster than the Cl10 at the same frequency. But nothing you would notice in real world applications. If you need help wit voltages just let me know and I'll download your manual and walk you through it step by step. The volatge you are looking for may be called DIMM voltage, DRAM voltage or something of the like. That is the one you need to manually set to 1.55v. If I choose XPM profile I can't change memory voltage. Drop down list doesn't show up.. but if I choose manual mode and enter there values It won't boot.. What I should change next? Thanks for your help Peanutz94!
peanutz94
Go ahead and set it manually then, but make sure you set memory voltage to 1,55v and the system agent voltage to 1.2v See if that helps any. If not then lets test the modules one at a time with memtest just to be sure one is not failing causing them not to work correctly. Let each stick run for about three passes or unitl you get an error.
