cee4
I can install the drivers via connecting the mini usb to an outer usb port but it will not work on the usb header. I tried switching headers and still nothing. If I install the drivers via exterior usb port it will not work if I swap back to the dongle. This should not happen for a product that cost over 100 dollars. Specs; Windows 7 64 bit ultimate asus maximus gene v i5 2500k 8gb corsair dominators ddr3 corsair 1200 watt ps
Ripshod
The H100i when using it's own USB connection to a USB header will show in device manager as a 'HID compliant device' as it uses windows' default HID drivers. I assume you're expecting to see a Corsair device listed. At the moment that won't happen. What drivers are you trying to install cos the 'Corsair USB Dongle' drivers won't work - no way, no how, unless you were to connect your H100i through a Corsair USB Dongle' (the lead ain't a dongle). If i take my own personal mini usb to usb cable and route it from the pump to the io panel I will see the h100i in corsair link and as a properly installed device. If i use the usb to usb header cable it will show up as an unrecognized device and therefore not even register in corsair link. I swapped to different USB headers and same result. Toasted
The BIOS may not have detected the device on the USB header or the Mini-B to internal USB 2.0 header may be faulty. Do you have the latest BIOS?

Do you have the latest BIOS? For a product that costs more than conventional cooling it shouldn't be shipped with faulty parts like a USB connection. Why am I paying for the h100i version if the corsair link part doesn't even work.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 8, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 8, 2013 Try a different USB header on the MB and see if it makes a difference. You're maybe right, the USB cable that came with the unit maybe bad and if this is the case we can send you a replacement for free. I would just make sure that the header on the MB is functioning correctly.

The only way h100i is recognized is if i take my own usb cable and connect it on an exterior port.
Toasted
The USB LINK cable might be faulty, request an RMA to replace it and see if that helps.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 15, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 15, 2013 I agree with Toasted, it does sound like you have a faulty USB link cable. Submit an RMA and we will send you a replacement cable.
