madmecca1975
Hello just wondering I got my self the ax1200i a couple of weeks ago and today I bought the h100i. My questions are do I have to do a remove software and clean install of software once my h100i is fitted or plug it straight in and go. Also do I have to plug my PSU link into the cooler or can I just have each one plugged in to the USB headers thanks any help welcome
NothinPersonal
I'd say yes. Just to be safe in regards to the reinstalling the software. That way it can recognize both at the same time. Also, I just plugged in my 1200i link cable to the h80i heatsink and it's all good. Frees up a usb header for the front (or back) usb connectors. Unless, you plan on getting that Link Commander then you'll need that link connection on the heatsink to plug the Commander in (I'm assuming) then plug the ax1200i link cable to the Commander. Toasted
You don't have to reinstall the software as it should detected the H100i once the drivers have been installed in Windows.

idgforum
Seriously, three Corsair products over the same month with these errors: AX860i PSU = howls but otherwise quiet H80i Water Cooler = Original Fans whistle at low revs, the threads into the radiator does not hold for a number of screwing, their own SP fans are not supported by their own software. Otherwise quiet Chassis Corsair Obsidian Series 550D = doors that conceal silencing can close and open three times since the mechanism is worn out. Otherwise quiet I guess that Corsair in the long run lose on this. And RMA costs postage and You can not use your stuff.
Toasted
Reinstall the USB dongle drivers and see if that helps.
madmecca1975
Not using the USB dongle ax is plugged into the h100i. Is it possible to have each one working on its own USB connection or.would this confuse the system
Toasted
Some people have tried plugging the AXi PSU into a H100i and reported it to have worked fine. I would try the USB dongle and see if that solves the issue.
