H100i LED

I'm on my second H100i in as many months. I RMA's the first one because, among other things, the LEDs failed almost immediately.

 

Now with my second H100i unit, after a week of smooth sailing, the red LED seems to have gone kaput. What is the failure rate of these things? I'm 2 for 2 so far it seems.

 

I'm wondering if I should even bother getting yet another new unit, if this is going to keep happening. Anyone aware of any troubleshoots for the LEDs?

 

Or should I just look to another company for a cooler that functions as advertised?

You can confirm your LEDs are out by switching CorsairLink to manually control RGB individually. Turn all of them off and turn them on one to see if the LED is lit for that respective color and repeat with the other two colors.

 

like I did here:

 

if one or more doesnt light up by itself then you're due for another RMA if you care about lighting.

My LEDs have failed too. White is dead, so now the damn thing just glows pink. I refuse to re-install Corsair Link until they fix it. And I refuse to send back this unit, only to have the new one do the same thing in a matter of days/weeks.

 

This is just ridiculous, coming from a company like Corsair. My next build, I am leaving them completely behind and going with other brands.

you can rma it,corsair has a good warranty policy,you also can request an advanced to avoid any downtime.

 

keep in mine while you do have a bad led if you choose another brand the cooling capacity will be less than corsairs brand as it really has no equal,unless of course you go with a custom loop.
