Issues With Module In CMD32GX3M4A1866C9

Hello,

I had purchased a kit of your Dominator Platinum 1866 C9 memory back in December. After much testing by running one module at a time I determined that I had 3 perfectly working sticks and 1 stick that wouldn't run. It was failing Memtest86+ with pages of errors and hard locking Windows every time. I am running this on an Intel DX79SI motherboard with an Intel Extreme Edition 3960x Processor.

I was given RMA number 5544322 and told that I had to send back all four modules which I did. I then received the new memory from Corsair and once again have the same exact problem, three modules which pass MemTest+ perfect and one module which fails MemTest and hard locks Windows each time. I've tested each one by itself in the system multiple times now and everytime three are good and the one fails with pages of errors. Increasing the voltage to 1.65 per a recommendation from a tech support rep at Corsair on Friday won't even allow the motherboard to post. The highest voltage it will post at is around 1.575

From the serial #'s on the modules the three which are in numerical order pass MemTest. The one which is out of sequence is the failing module. The one thing that worries me is that even with the 3 passing modules Windows is locking up on me every few minutes requiring a hard restart.

Here are the serial #'s

Module Failing Memtest With Long Error List - 154808

Modules Passing Memtest But Locking In Windows - 154804-154805-154806

Could this kit not be compatible with the Intel DX79SI motherboard? I realize you aren't listed on the Intel product page but then again neither is most anyone else selling performance memory. I saw mentioned on another website that your memory kit CMT32GX3M4X1866C9 is compatible with this motherboard? Not sure if I grabbed the wrong kit from Corsair or not. I have a 600T case, AX860i P/S, H100i Water Cooler etc so wanted to run Corsair memory.

I would really appreciate your help, this is beyond frustrating especially being the Dominator Platinum line with a $400 price tag. I just want to be able to use this system after two months of issues.

I have sent a request to our customer service to provide a shipping label and get these replaced ASAP, please wait 24-48 hours and if you have not heard from them I would suggest calling them by phone and I am sure they will take care of you.

Hello, I sent off this module set today with expected delivery to you tomorrow. If at all possible along with testing these modules can you possibly test the modules you will be sending me as replacement just to make sure they are good? Even better would be if you guys could test them on an Intel DX79SI board which I have been using on the two failing sets.

Thanks again

I am sorry I dont think that would be possible and we are not open tomorrow so it will likely be next week before the modules you sent can be received in the system. I would suggest calling our customer service and requesting the modules you are getting be tested again prior to sending them out.
