carlosthedwarf
I bought a HX-650 PSU last weekend for a new PC and almost as soon as it was installed it started the chirping sound. I took it back to the retailer yesterday who exchanged it for another model, which is chirping more consistently than the previous one. Changing the power saving features made no difference to this noise. I have requested an RMA and will be sending it off on Monday. Am I guaranteed to not get a chiriping model back? This whole situation has completely soured me on Corsair and I am extremely annoyed about having to return two brand new PSU's.
Administrators Technobeard Posted February 1, 2013 Administrators Share Posted February 1, 2013 I will make sure you get a replacement that does not have that issue. Advanced RMA instructions have been sent to you via the ticket. That way you won't have any down time.
carlosthedwarf
Thanks for the swift reply. Do I need to return it in the original box? Will call the support line as soon as they open on Friday.
Administrators Technobeard Posted February 1, 2013 Administrators Share Posted February 1, 2013 You don't need the original box, but it does have a lot of padding built in I believe.
