crazymilk
Hi Not sure if this is the correct place but: I have just requested an RMA as I noticed avery hot smell coming from my HX1000 PSU. After checking it seems the fan has stopped spinning as well. Of course I am very concerned regarding fire hazzard ect. I filled in the RMA but I forgot to mention the hot smell I noticed and just said about the fan not working. I do not want to duplicate the RMA so could this be added onto my RMA? Thanks PS, what the normal(ish) turn around on RMA's?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 31, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 31, 2013 The average time for international RMA's is about 10-15 days, and I have approved the RMA for you but if you want to request an advanced RMA you will want to call our customer service by phone and you can call the toll free number listed under Contact on our site using SKYPE for free. Thanks PS, what the normal(ish) turn around on RMA's? Is this a new unit. That PSu does have a fanlesss mode so the fan is not supposed to spin unless it hit about 49c and 40% load. It's also not uncommon for anew PSu to "smell" during the first few hours of operation. Just hate to see you send in a perfectly good PSU for nothing.... crazymilk
Hi there Is it possible to get an update on my RMA? Note: I have just had an email to say that something has been returned to me via UPS? It says that a HX1000 has been returned? Is that correct as I spoke/Skyped with customer services yesterday who informed me an AX860 was going to be sent back(which I really hope has happened!). Please RAMGUY could you confirm?
