Sle8
Hello all new to this forum hate to make my 1st post a negative one. I have been using corsair for a long time. On the 25/01/2013 purchased a corsair hx 650 and has a chirping sound at random and it very annoying. I have taken the unit back to pc shop today and they said it's normal and that's how they are made. I was happy to buy another unit that does not have this issue but did not get any were in the store. I placed a phone over power supply and recorded the chirping sound pc store still insists every thing is fine. RMA 5566718 How does this issue effect me in Australia. Sle8
I use prime95 25.11 build 2 as the program start to test load I can get the chirping sound for only a second and then randomly. Also in BF3 does it randomly also when load windows 7 on start up screen. I have put in another branded power supply in and can't replicate that sound with current hardware. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 31, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 31, 2013 The RMA process works world wide, it does not matter where you are located. If the chirping noise is louder than your any case fans running, then please proceed with the RMA process and let us get that unit replaced. Sle8
Thanks Ram Guy It is louder than any fan in my case. Going to take power supply back to store for a full refund as with paying shipping and purchase packaging and tracking and insurance this will cost well over $50 for a unit that cost me only $150. And not knowing if they next one will do the same this can become a costly exercise on my behalf.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 31, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 31, 2013 If you just purchased the unit we will take care of the shipping so that is not an issue. But I understand your frustration and I do apologize for the inconvenience.
Sle8
No problem taken it back to store got money back went to another store and got a hx750 they said any issue they will keep swapping them till i get one that's ok. I under stand that things can brake down I am more upset with the how the 1st store handled the issue. Corsair staff was quick and understanding on problem that why I bought corsair again and will keep doing for that reason.
