kostanev
Hello, I bought MB : GA-Z77-D3H CPU : Ivy Bridge i7 3770 RAM : CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9 (2x8GB DDR3 1600Mhz Vengeance) Are both components compatible? In my case they works on single-channel mode on 1333Mhz. But I'm trying to configure them to work in dual-channel mode on 1600Mhz. The result is: motherboard beeps many times, without displaying the BIOS and after few seconds just powered off automatically. Thanks in advance. peanutz94
Thats all functions of the MB and not the memory. If you have two sticks inserted the board should go into dual channel. I really hate to say this , but if both sticks give you the same out come no matter what slot you have them in then i would have to say it's pointing towards a bad MB. The Vengeance series are designed and tested on the 2nd and 3rd gen Intel CPU's . So in other words they are fully compatible. Have you by any chance tried to update the BIOS or tested the memory with memtest yet? If not, please update the BIOS if there is a newer version then load set-up defaults and enable XMP. That theoretically should set the memory for you and take care of adjusting any necessary system voltages for you as well. Have you tried enabling XMP yet or just setting the speed? If that fails the test each stick in the first slot individually with memtest(links on the left side bar) Again make sure you load set-up defaults then boot to memtest. Let each stick run for about three passes or until you receive an error. That will point out a bad stick pretty quick. If both sticks produce errrors, then again, it would point towards the MB.
