xsipower
I just installed two sets of tripple channel 12GB CMX12GX3M3A1333C9 into my Intel DX58OG motherboard with the latest BIOS (1/29/12). I have attached two JPG that show my system settings. My BIOS, Windows 7 64bit, CPU-z and Everest show that I have 24GB memory. When I run memtest86 4.2 it indicates I only have 3316MB. Memtest does show all six slots are occupied by 4GB memory with the correct part number. I also tried Memtest86 5.00b Beta and it also shows only 3316MB. I have been able to run programs in Windows that use over 16GB memory and they function fine. I searched the web and found that some people have trouble with 24GB memory in X58 boards. My issues is'nt that my system won't run with 24GB rather that I cannot verify beyond running my programs that the system is stable or not and the RAM is fully compatible.
