I'm getting when ever there is a loud boom or gun shot, I'm not using the mic. I seem to get it in both sides...it sounds a little worse now I updated the drivers to 1.1.

any fixes for this or am I just out of luck ?

EDIT/UPDATE: Hmmm, unplugged it and plug it back into the same usb port....now its fine

Hi Lee, i encountered a similar issue, try the following:

(don't know what Windows you are running, gonna assume Windows7)

-disable the microphone under the recording devices

-uninstall the corsair software, uninstall the corsair driver in the device manager (and let windows delete it), then scan for hardware changes - a microsoft driver will step in, go to your playback devices - doubleclick on the headset and search for a slider called 'line' - drag it to 0

This helped me to solve my problem. Hope it works for you too. I am quite sure it is a driver problem that will hopefully get solved within the next weeks.
