Keelk
I ordered some new components (mobo, cpu, ram and psu) 10 days ago or so. I installed everything and it was running smoothly untill yesterday when I was playing a game and the ASUS anti surge system shut the pc down. According to the Bios hardware monitor, the 3.3v rail is at 2.8v. However I've never gotten any BSOD whatsoever. From what I've been reading, software which reads voltage is highly unreliable, don't know if the same applies to the Bios hardware monitor. What should i do? peanutz94
It's more than likely wrong. The BIOS is software too actually. As long as everything is stable i wouldn't worry too much about it for now. But if you would have troubles down the line you know where to look. If it were actually at 2.8 you would surely have stability issues. But if you can get your hands on a multi-meter so you can get an accurate reading from one of the sata connectors it could confirm the actual voltage. Or you could run Prime95 to stress the system and see if you can make it BSOD. If it doesn't BSOD under a stress test i would just file it away for now.
