niksu8
Yesterday i bought the Corsair GS 700. And i want to install it in NZXT Tempest elite 410. the cabinet has a provision to fit the PSU at the bottom and also has a vent. But i'm unsure as to which direction the fan to face. towards the bottom of the case(outside) or towards the processor side (upside/ inside) of the cabinet ?? It would be great to understand with a picture. Thank you:biggrin:
peanutz94
It's up to you! If you face the fan down you bring in the coolest air for the PSU. If you use the fan face up it would act like any other case fan exhausting warm case air out the back of the PSU.

Thank you so much  But i wonder how the PSU would throw the warm air out.. i though it would throw its own (PSU) air inside the case.. i think ill face the fan down.. i hope facing the fan down wont create any warranty issues later for me.. peanutz94
No the fan sucks air into the PSU and exhausts it out the back where the switch is. i think ill face the fan down.. i hope facing the fan down wont create any warranty issues later for me.. Orientation has no affect on warranty. The PSU will work in any orientation and Corsair will honor that warranty for the period specified for that PSU no matter how you mount it.
