My Ram was giving me constant BSODs for a while so i ran Memtest found the bad ram and have only been using the other stick for about two or three months with no problems. I Think its about time i deal with the RMA lol. while my memory is being replaced i'd rather have a working PC and from what I have read corsair needs both of my sticks sent in so my question is what are my options?

I was thinking about buying a third stick to use while they are being shipped and when they get back ill have an additional 4gb. If i do this i guess i should wait to RMA until my new stick arrives.

Then i read that corsair does cross shipping and i was wondering about the details of that and if i have that option.

Lastly am i required to pay shipping either way for the RMA and about how long will this entire process take?

Thanks for the help.

Just use the link on the left to request your RMA. Once you receive an RMA number call their CS by phone and ask for an advanced replacement. This way they will send you a new kit before you need to send the old one back.

But it will REQUIRE a phone call because of credit card security.

You can find the number on the main website page at the bottom under company>contact

Yes, you would be responsible to ship the defective RAM to them. They will pay to ship the new back. Normal RMA's would take between 7-10 business days and if you are outof the US you can safely add another 5-7 days to that. And advanced replacement could be to you in just a few days if you call them right off the bat!.

I would advise against this just because there is no way to tell if any two random sticks would work with each other if at all. There is a chance they could even be incompatible with each other and also the new kit if you try to add that stick to it. Besides it would give you absolutly no performance gains. If anything it could actually hamper performance running an odd number of sticks.
