3770k H100i Temps

I recently bought a H100i and updated to new firmware but that messed up my LEDS....but I got it replaced directly by Canada Computers. Before the H100i I was using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and my temps IDLE were around 33 C but with the h100i my temps have been higher than with the air cooler my cpu idles at around 38 C. My i7 is clocked at 4.2GHZ turbo off and my radiator is mounted at the top of my NZXT Phantom with just the radiator and the 2 sp120s. Is there any way I can make my temperatures lower?

New install of H100i (yesterday) with shipped firmware 1.0.5, i7 OC'd to 4.2ghz same as yourself and idle temps are showing about 22-25c and gets to between 60/65c under load.

I'm happy with my install and don't seem to be having the probs that are being reported.

So Far, that is!!!

EDIT:

Just noticed that the clock speed is at about 1.6ghz at idle (also reported the same in the Asus AI Suite) so that'll be why the temps are lower and also the HDD temps are way off, so maybe the link software ain't that good after all lol

your turbo frequency is on in your Bios and throttling down to 1.6ghz is normal at idle and has nothing to do with the link software.you can however change this in your bios.

My edit re CL was more a reference to the HDD temps rather than the clock speed, which suits me, no need to have it ramped up when idling.

I will switch it off though to compare temps.

Thanks for the reply/s anyway :):
