ed6698
I have just purchased a laptop, just for basic usage. I am not going to really use it for storing anything. Would any model ssd work if I change the drive? What would be the better one for a laptop? It is a HP Pavilion G7-2320dx. I can't find any reason why not. Znote
I can't find any reason why not. Neither do I. Just make sure the files from the original HD is transfered (etc if an OS is installed there. And then make sure to change disk type from IDE to AHCI in BIOS and OS Registry. Toasted
I'd recommend you Google the laptop's chipset and make sure its compatible with SSDs.
ed6698
I will look into it. I did read a review for the laptop and someone mentioned they changed out the hard drive for a ssd, made a nice difference over the 5400rpm hard drive, so it appears it is possible. I will research more into it with the chipset. It is no big deal if it can't. I just have it for web surfing and general use. Figured it would be nice to go along with the quad cpu.
