Bad_dude
Hello everyone, I am currently running RAID 0 with my onboard Intel X58, ICH10R with two Force 3 120GB drives. I got it set to 128k. I would like to know how often do I need restore the SSD performance running RAID 0 since no TRIM is utilized. I have image the system and easily restore each time. Here's my system specs: -Intel i920 Overclock to 4Ghz. Corsair H50. -Motherboard, Asus P6T with the latest BIOS 1408. -24GB or RAM tri channel. -Video Sapphire Dirt 3 6950 2GB. -LSI SAS3442E-R PCI Express SATA / SAS Controller Card . I have been using this card to run RAID 0 with two 1TB WD Black 64MB cache. -Sound cards, modded Creative Xtreme Music PCI and Xonar DG PCI. Thanks. Turbonerfs101e
Hi Bad dude As your LSI SAS3442E-R PCI Express SATA / SAS Controller Card is 3Gb/s per port . It not faster then Southbridge 6 xSATA 3 Gb/s ports Intel Matrix Storage Technology Support RAID 0,1,5,10. you sould use the Intel Matrix Storage Technology, as it the same speed ove your LSI SAS3442E-R PCI Express SATA / SAS Controller Card and the Intel Matrix Storage Technology As support for TRIM In conclusion is u ar using Intel Matrix Storage Technology with latess driver 11.7.0.1013 you will have TRIM support feature. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=22194&keyword=Intel+Matrix+Storage+Technology&lang=eng Finally you sould cheack for motherboard bios update, as it improuve compatibility and stability ove system http://ca.asus.com/en/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1366/P6T/#download TRIM on RAID 0 volumes as been shown to work on Z68 and P67 chipsets, butUnfortunately Vista doesn't support trim. you nead Windows 7, 8 or serveur 2008 r2 to suport TRIM on Intel Matrix Storage Technology only. Hope this help Sincerly yours

Even though only Z68 and P67 support TRIM with RAID 0, my older ICH10R in Windows 7 X64 does show that TRIM is on and with Crystal drive info, it also shows TRIM is on. Does this mean that TRIM is activated but it isn't really working? Thanks.
