peanutz94
Is that load or idle temps, and did you have to add any voltage for your overclock?

JR23
That seems to be acceptable and is very similar to the temps of my 2600k(stock) on a H100. Whats your ambient room temp? Are the idle temps acceptable, mines about 35c (21c ambient). I was thinking of changing the SP120's on my H100i from Performance to Quiet Editions, whats your fan/case layout like

I was thinking of changing the SP120's on my H100i from Performance to Quiet Editions, whats your fan/case layout like ambient room temp is about 19c , I have a cm storm trooper case, cooler is currently in push configuration, with 2 120 sickle flow on the front intake and a 140 noctua nf-p14 as exaust. what are the performance sp's like ? dont think you can control the non stock fans in corsair link? :sigh!: 32c is the average max temp on idle I normally use arctic silver 5 on cpu but this time i tried noctua nt-h1
JR23
The performance editions are great but just a bit noisy for me to sit next to all day, fine when gaming or whatever. Corsair Link (cooling node) lets me change them from 1950 up to 2200rpm at which point they get annoyingly loud. I might run them with the resistors for a day or two but from initial reviews the quiets outperform the performance editions slowed down. I'm sure quiets will be fine on idle for me its just whether they perform well enough under load, I would be happy with 55-60c. It's just if they would hold it that low when both my graphics cards warm the case up. Its always going to be a trade off between noise and heat. Here's a screen of my rig all fans running quiet profiles at idle. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bwGJ6bfh84Q/UP8rYZj2CKI/AAAAAAAACtU/fdasIeTo8-g/s1600/Untitled234.jpg
