west1980
No i believe it is showing correct. Have you installed the software yet or just plugged in the USB cord? software is installed and usb cord is currently plugged in. Im just confused over this with all the firmware issues that's been going on! I have not installed any firmware before It was taken down, the only other thing is I cant control fan speeds through corsair link I have fans connected via wire splitter into the pump block. Ripshod
As you can see the fans in CL then it's fully installed. The unfortunate thing is you'll need the next firmware update to control the fans. For the time being put the fans on the motherboard or a fan controller. The updated firmware won't be long now. Don't, under any circumstance, download the 1.0.4 firmware from ANY source and attempt a flash. When installed correctly these units show in 'Device Manager' as 2 devices. 'USB Input Device' and 'HID-compliant device'. Both will have the hardware ID 'HID\VID_1B1C&PID_0C04' or 'HID\VID_1B1C&PID_0C04&REV_0200'.
peanutz94
Wait, I don't believe the FW update applies to the USB dongle. But please let someone from Corsair confirm/deny this. So please DO NOT try updating the FW until you get confirmation on this. EDIT: NVM found out it does from the FW guide in the LINK forums. So disregard that. BTW...Nice guide you have posted there Ripshod!
Ripshod
USB dongle?? Did I miss something?? lol The 'USB Integrated Bridge' is shows for both the USB Dongle and the Hi coolers, it's the comms section. That's why the Hi's are 2 devices. One comms, one control. Ripshod
wytnyt is right. Though I see loads of machines going through the shop, I don't really have the facilities to test on all hardware. Besides, I like the knowledge that all the systems with these drivers were built by me (kinda like a signature).
