A new Neutron GTX 240 showing SLOW write speed

Hello,

A just installed new Newtron gtx-240 was tested by different programs, including ATTO and sequential READ speed is good - > 500 MBps,

but WRITE speed is only 150-180 MBps !

ATTO shows increasing write speed, when block size is up to 256, then the speed is exactly the same for all bigger blocks (to 8192) and is equal to 182.196 MBps. (At the same time read speed is 555383).

Please help me troubeshoot this.

Thanks,

Igor

P.S. System:

CPU - i5 2500, MB - Gigabyte h67a, 16 GB Dram, ahci enabled, Win 7 64-bit, SSD uses SATA-3 connection

Thanks, Synthohol,

Just tried both a different cable and a different port, but it does not help unfortunatelly.

Are there any other ideas?

BTW, the limit of 187 MBps looks like the speed of SATA-1 standard.

Can it be configured somewhere to READ with SATA-3 speed and WRITE with SATA-1 ?

Thanks,

Igor

Resolved !!!

After installing IRST.

Thanks to everybody, who tried to help!

Initially I could not install IRST (it said, that 'system doesn't meet minimal requirements' - very informative message) and I could not set AHCI in BIOS (the system did not start: error 0000007b). Then I finally install some ahci driver (evidently not the correct one), then was able to enable ahci in BIOS and forget to install IRST, thus having the issue.
