ebadio
Ive Had this PSU for a little over a month and its been making this buzzing noise. idle its real low but once i load up a game depending on the game the buzzing is different and is louder. I've tried the things in the sticky and its still noisy. Sometimes it almost sounds like some hair clippers are down there. Can anyone please help? I'm not sure if I need to RMA or if theres something else I can do.

ebadio
another thing it does is randomly the fan will spin at max for a 2 seconds and then stop often while playing games I think it does it more than it should sometimes idle it does also
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 8, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 8, 2013 That is normal the fan is controlled by load and temp so it will ramp up when it kicks on then slow back down or stop depending on load and temp. ebadio
is the buzzing/whine noise fixable? It gets kind of annoying thank you for the replay again
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 8, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 8, 2013 That is something different, there is a sticky about Noisy PSU please try some of the settings suggested in that sticky and see if the Wine or Buzz goes away or changes. Also if you have a grounded extension cord try using a different out let to make sure it is not a grounding issue.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 9, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 9, 2013 Please use the link on the left and request an RMA but if the Buzz continues that would suggest it is some other cause.
