Compatibility: 1.65v, Z77 Chipset, i7 3770 CPU

I have 6x2GB Corsair DDR3 2000MHz Dominator-GT Memory CL8 (8-9-8-24) 1.65V from an old machine (combination of TR3X6G2000C7GT + CMT6GX3M3A2000C8).

I am going to build a new machine probably with the following parts:

- Intel Core i7 3770

- Asus Sabertooth Z77 (EDIT: Might go for Asus P8Z77-V LX Instead, lot cheaper, all features I need)

- Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme cooler

1) Will the z77 & 3770 play well with the 1.65v ram? Will I be able to keep good timings and a high clock speed?

2) Will the RAM fit with the huge Thermalright Ultra cooler?

Obviously I will only be able to use 4 of my 6 sticks. Feel free to answer either of my questions if you think you can!

Seasonal Greetings all!

1)Intel is pretty adament about using nothing but 1.5v memory with that chipset. So it would be your call if you want to run your older Dominators on there. There is also no way to know how much of an overclock you'll get until you try it.

2) Will the RAM fit with the huge Thermalright Ultra cooler?

I don't believe it will. Your best bet with that new board would be the Vengeance low profile modules. They were designed around the Sandy/Ivybridge systems and are rated at 1.5v
