Ok, so I picked up a couple sticks Corsair XMS Twinx PC3700's wanting to up my FSB to 466 MHz and I can't for the life of me get them to boot at that speed!! I'm running an Athlon 1800+ on an NF7-S v2 mobo and the thing just won't POST! I can run it fine at 433 though! I doubt there's anything wrong with the RAM. Could it be my processor limiting my ability to go higher? I know there's a pci/agp lock on my mobo so what could it be???

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!!

Oh sweet! Ok thanks! That's all it took, 1 line and it took me 3 tries at 3 different forums to get a response geez!

Thanks a lot guys. BTW, the RAM's cheap, $220 canadian... oh and does anyone know why the PC4000's are cheaper than the PC3700's??

Thanks again!

If you can hit 433 (FSB of 217) with the NF7-s you are doing VERY well. And I think the 1800 is only rated to 266 Mhz also. You should drop another $107 and get this cpu: Athlon XP 3200+ (2.2GHz/400) > not sure if its locked at 200Mhz or not. Or get one of the "Mobile" unlocked CPUs

Here is a real good Abit forum: http://forums.pcper.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7

One person claims 11x225 on their NF7-S
