Corsair Vengeance 1500, Is this Normal?

Hi, i've used this headset for a week now, didn't check the microphone until 2 days ago. I hear this buzzing noise in the background or buzz noise so i thought i record it with windows 7 sound recorder and vocaroo

I've read threads bout the microphone issues too here. I've tried using different USB ports,different pc / computer, different settings in playback and recording, the noise still exist.

No it's not normal.

Does it happen when the default Windows drivers are installed?

I appreciate your suggestion but it's still there. I've uninstalled the corsair usb headset software and use windows driver.

Here are the new recording samples. No enhancements enabled on my tests and microphone volume level is 100.

Contact your seller and ask if they can replace the headset for you. The headset may be faulty.

Thanks, toasted I got a new replacement from the seller and no more crazy noises / electrical buzz. I noticed that the new headset has less flimsy microphone so I think it's a faulty product. I've also replaced my old PSU Silverstone ST56F with Corsair HX 650, 'cause the old one made high-pitched noise. And, then HX 650 made a chirping fan noise, but that's another problem in another thread section. The headset works fine now.
