Olorin73
Installed Corsairlink 2.2 from the site to run my new H80i. It just goes "Sierra2 not respond.." and turns off. Have I done something wrong? I am on windows7 64 bit.
Toasted
Are you using the Commander Unit or the USB cable? Unplug the H80i and run the dashboard, Does it load correctly? Is the H80i listed in Device Manager?

Is the H80i listed in Device Manager? I am using the USB cable that came with my unit. No, I can not see any unit in the Device manager at all, where should in be? Listed under CPU? Dashboard, do you mean CorsairLink dashboard? If so,never seen it is goes "Sierra not responding" ASAP.
Toasted
Have you tried installing an older version of LINK? Have you tried running the dashboard as admin? Latest drivers for everything? Yes, by dashboard i mean the Corsair LINK dashboard. Sierra is the dashboard exe.
Olorin73
I tried the 2.1 version and it started once, then it failed also. I am admin on my PC. Yes, current drivers. Is there no standard installation procedure that is supposed to work? It seems like it is just guess work now.
Toasted
Have you tried disconnecting the H80i USB cable and run the dashboard on its own? Uninstall the software and delete any remaining files in Program Files (x86)\Corsair\CorsairLink 2 \Users\-USERNAME-\AppData\Roaming\Corsair Then install LINK 2.1.1 and see if it works. Olorin73
Tried a lot of stuff not. And I got version 2.1.7 to start after deleting many time, clearing the registry and running as admin. Not sure if I dare to turn it off and insert the usb cable. Should I flash it now? Olorin73
Deleted my dot-net 4 and installed dot.net 4.5. Deleted registry all drivers, swapped USB-headers and got 2.1.7 to work! Yikes this was hard. Updated the H80i drivers to 1.4. Should I update to 2.2 now or stay happy with 2.1.7?
Toasted
If your H80i isn't doing anything in the dashboard, Uninstall LINK 2.1.7 and install LINK 2.2.0. Version 2.2.0 Hydro Series Digital Link connection functionality when used with 1.0.4 firmware update Hydro Series LED control functionality when used with 1.0.4 firmware update
Olorin73
It was working fine and I could adjust the lights on the H80i and all. Then I rebooted and now it is back to "Sierra2 not responding". This is very unstable and unpredictable.
robandcathy
Im sure it has to do with the RSTe that is not compatible with the commander. This is a concern with asus based mobo's. Many people with asus mobo's are experiencing problems. I have noted this in several threads.

Olorin73
I get the impression that the ASUS RSTe is for the intel boards, have not seen any new drivers for the Crosshair Formula in ages.
Olorin73
Upgraded to Corsairlink 2.2 and it ****ed up again. The fans turned up to full whack all the time and the "Sierra2 not responding" was back. Removed 2.2 and went back to 2.1.7 and I could start CorsaitLink again. The 2.2 is not working on my Asus ROG Formula IV for sure.
