hi all

sorry,but i'm french so,my english isn't that great...

config:

athlon 64 3000+ @ 2500mhz

1024 ddr 500

gigabyte k8n PRO

i just got 2 X 512mb pc 4000PT

i have some problem with this memory.it won't post @ 250mhz,nor 240mhz

@ 200mhz,it look to be stable...i can bench with sandra

200mhz @ 3-4-4-8

even if i up the voltage (+.3v) it doesn't boot @ 220mhz :(:

@ 166mhz,it won't post @ 2.5-4-4-8 @ 2.9v

i tried both stick one at a time :[pouts:

is there some incompatibility between my pc4000 and my k8n pro (don't really think so..) or is my memory isn't working correctly?

thank :o:

thank for answering me.

as i can see, memory faster than pc 3500 seem to be only for pentium?

back to my prob,

why it doesn't even post @ 166mhz @ cl 2.5?

my "old" infineon ddr 333 @ 178mhz was ok @ 2.5-3-3-?

and do you know why athlon doesn't "like" highner than 220-230mhz?

my "fsb" (HT...) is @ 250mhz,so running memory a 250mhz shouldn't be a prob...

i should have bought ddr 400...
