Galafassi
Hello guys, I have one Asus Rampage IV Extreme with 64GB of CMP16GX3M2A1600C11. If I left the BIOS settings on auto, it sets the Memory to 1333 and Works fine. If I set it to XMP it recognizes as 1600, but the computer freezes and shows a lot of BSOD. It's impossible to work with this settings so I have to go back to 1333. Do you guys know what could be happening ? Please let me know if need some extra details. Any help will be very welcome ! Thanks in advance for your time and sorry for my bad english, it is not my native language. Best, Leandro
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 20, 2012 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 20, 2012 I would suggest running the memory frequency at DDR13333, I am sorry but we do not suggest mixing memory. Only a set sold and tested as 64 Gig can be supported.
peanutz94
You can try setting the memory to 1.6v manually and adding .2v to your VCCIO voltage(memory controller) . But as RaGuy pointed out one 1 single 64gig kit would be supported. Mixing/combining kits can be hit and miss sometimes and may not always work correctly. Mixing two kits is possible, but mixing 4 kits may never work correctly.
Galafassi
I didn't mix different memories. All the memories are CMP16GX3M2A1600C11.
HU16E
I didn't mix different memories. All the memories are CMP16GX3M2A1600C11. Yes they are considered mixed even if all of the kits have the same part number. 4X16GB kits right? It is highly recommended if 64GB is required, a factory matched & tested RAM kit be used.
