rea1high
I went to fit my H80i today. I found that the back plate nuts/sockets are far too long for the standoff screws and therefore i can't securely fit the back plate. there's about 4mm gap between the mobo and the protruding back plate nuts. edit - ok, so i read about other people having the same issue and having mixed results, so I went ahead and installed it anyway. It seems ok, if you can ignore the whining noise. it's considerably louder than my air cooled set up. oh, and the booklet states that there should be 8 washers, i only had 4 in my pack. tel911
When I fitted my H80i the backplate was loose so today I removed it and put rubber washers on the standoffs before refitting, I also bent the mounting bracket lugs slightly to increase the pressure. it has probably helped by a couple of degrees C but I still hit 81C when running prime @ 4.7Ghz on 3570 @1.296v but I can't be bothered to delid it as it never reaches 70C under normal use
FilthyDragon
Mine was loose when I screwed the standoffs in the backplate, but tightened as soon as I screwed the pump onto the standoffs.

rea1high
ok, so i'm running 10 degrees hotter at idle than with my aircooled set up and tbh, the hassle i've had with this i wish i'd just gone for an open loop set up. such a dissapointment
