Sweeroy
Attempted to install the 1.7 drivers, caused a repeating bluescreen while booting. Gave up on that, I'm waiting for the fix to come out. Now I'm having what is apparently a somewhat common problem where the mic crackles for no reason when the boom is lowered beyond the mute point. Is there any potential fix or do I have to send it off to get fixed and go a few weeks with no sound?
Toasted
Try the headset on another computer and see if the static sounds are still there. If it still makes the sounds, request an RMA to replace the headset. If you don't have any alternative headsets/audio devices, you can request an Advanced RMA by phone. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 13, 2012 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 13, 2012 Can you also list your system specifications? Have you tried updating the BIOS and chipset drivers for your board? Also please try what Toasted suggested by using it on a different machine to ensure the issue isn't from your USB port.
