MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R w/ CMX512 - 3200

I just bought a MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R with AMD 64 3200 CPU.

Trying to use my memory from another mobo that worked fine.

I have 3 memory sticks:

1. Corsair CMX512-3200C2 512MB PC3200 400Mhz DIMM Cas2 Memory w/Heat Spreader Retail

2. Corsair CMX256-3200C2 256MB PC3200 400Mhz 32Mx64 184 DIMM Cas2 Memory w/Heat Spreader Retail

3. Corsair CMX256-3200C2 256MB PC3200 400Mhz 32Mx64 184 DIMM Cas2 Memory w/Heat Spreader Retail

When i use all three above, I am getting 3 beeps and no post. Same with just a 512 and 256 in slot 1 and 2.

If I fill just slot1 with either type everything works fine.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Reading MSI website on the specs for the mobo (MSU k8t-neo fisr2), I get this:

Main Memory

* Supports three 184-pin DDR SDRAMs up to 2GB memory size

* Supports DDR400*/DDR333/DDR266 DDR SDRAM (*Refer to MSI recommended modules)

* Note: PC3200 (DDR400) maximum 4 banks (2 double-sided) only

So, am I correct in that I should only be using 2 slots at most with the DDR400? Say slot1 and slot2?

So, I'm left with either

(1 512 and 1 256) or (2 x 256)

If that's the case then I guess I'd want to get another 512 but untill I know for sure I can get even 2 working I don't want to do anything.

So now I'm told by the local vendor for the mobo that it's fine to put all 3 of those memory sticks in the mobo but only the first 2 will run at 400, the other will run at 333.

Can anyone help expain this? I'm more concerned about getting 1GB of RAM back using my existing sticks. If performance goes down on 3rd one or they all have to run at 333, that's fine.

Suggestions?
