Ftrazor
I have looked around in the forum a bit and I saw that the vengeance 2000 is not recognized as a 7.1 headset. though if you uninstall the xear drivers the 7.1 sound became better. My question is if you uninstall the drivers, will it be recogniced as a 7.1 headset or do it just become better surround sound? I am thinking about buying a pair.... Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 6, 2012 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 6, 2012 Without the software, the Vengeance 2000 will act as a stereo headset.
TeslaMonger
I'm assuming you are talking about how people have been talking about the "Non-xear driver surround sound experience" being better than with it. To answer your first question, no, the headset is stereo and will only be recognized as stereo. Also the "better sound" you are talking about is when people activate the Windows surround sound option. In my opinion it is better, as the Xear have that a "bathroom-esque" sound to it, rather than the feeling of being immersed in sound from all directions. Good luck with your next purchase, mate!
