Ian_UK
Hi, Updated my H100 to the new H100i over the weekend; after the FW (firmware) update I now have a high pitched noise. If I remove the fans from the H100i controller, the sound is no longer present. The sound is more irritating that the loud pump prior to updating the FW. I can hear the sound while using headphones. Question, am I good to power both of the H100i fans via the motherboard until we get a resolution to this? If not, can I go back, FW wise? Thanks. peanutz94
Question, am I good to power both of the H100i fans via the motherboard until we get a resolution to this? Yes, you can. I would suggest an RMA though Was there a reason to update the firmware or did you just update it because you saw one was available?
