71n-jerrre69
My h100 makes sounds too, sounds like an accessing harddrive, the sound don't trouble me that much, can only hear it when i sit by the computer and not wearing my headset, but will this corrupt my cooler in the long run (bought it mid February 12)? With RMA, do i have sit without cooler the period while my cooler is transportet tour retour netherland?
Toasted
If you RMA the cooler and you do not have a alternative cooler, You can request an advanced RMA by calling customer service after you have created your RMA case. The sound may just be a bit of air in the pump, Lay the case on its side and see if it goes away in a few hours.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 20, 2012 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 20, 2012 If this is a new cooler, then you may have to give it some time to break in. You can also, try what Toasted has suggested, lay the case on its side for a couple of hours and see if that changes anything.
Bartacus
So I'm NOT crazy!! This is good news! :D: Ever since I put my new rig together, I've been wondering why I hear hard drive access all the time, with no apparent disk activity. This post explains it! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 28, 2012 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 28, 2012 It is not uncommon to have some sort of noise for the first couple of days. Give it some time and let the unit break and in most cases, the noise will eventually just go away.
