cmx256a-3500c2pt compatibility

Recommended Posts

I have an Abit IC7-G motherboard with 2 sticks of cmx256a-3500c2pt. I want to add another 512 for a gig total. What ram would be my best option to use? cmx256a-3500c2pt is no longer listed on http://www.corsairmemory.com . should i buy a single 512, or two 256 sticks... and should they be Cas2 like my current ones.

Thanks for your help.

*system info*

P4 2.8 800mhz

512 ram total

Radeon X-800 pro

Soundblaster Audigy

I am sorry, but the IC we used to make this module has not been in production since last September and the supply of IC dried up about December of last year! In addition, MB's that are on the market today will sometimes not post if the modules are not exactly matched, so I would try and find another use for these and just get Twinx1024-3200XL instead!

Actually our XMS3200XL is still a faster module than XMS3500C2! So yes!

I have a similar question with the cmx256a-3500c2pt. I have a pair installed now (2x256MB) and see they are no longer in production.

Is there anything I can add - short of finding a pair used or deadstock - to my current pair? I want to bring my RAM up to 1GB total, so I was looking to buy another pair of cmx256a-3500c2pt.

I have two free slots on my MB. My MB is a Gigabyte GA-8INXP.
