voltage for ch-5

Recommended Posts

Either 2.75 or 2.8, depending on the board that you have. Corsair will only warranty up to 2.8v so going over that is up to you. Some people have told stories of getting high clocks with 3.2v, but I have never been able to reproduce this with any of the CH-5 that I have had.

CH is based on .13 die size. has an internal voltage limiter built in. will 'normally' do timings 2-3-2. 'normally' has a harder time doing tRCD (ras to cas delay) of 2 >=200 FSB. doesnt 'normally' like voltages in excess of 2.6 or 2.7 (depending on your batch) and 'normally' doesnt react positively to voltage. doesnt 'normally' like keeping tight timings at higher fsb (this is also dependant on the PCB).

in addition to that, some motherboards with modded BIOS and whatnot could make more voltage helpful instead of harmful
