Memory for MSI VIA K8T800 K8T Master2-FAR

I recently ordered some parts from NewEgg to build a new computer.

I purchased:

MSI VIA K8T800 K8T Master2-FAR motherboard,

2- opteron 244's,

and 2- Corsair CMX512R-3200C2PT memory modules.

The memory seemed appropriate from their selection but on checking your web site, I am confused.

I haven't as yet opened the packages, so they are returnable.

I am building a personal work station and do a fair amount of video work.

Any advice you can give will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

These are the correct modules for this MB!

With this MB I would suggest you set these timings and then set the Dim Voltage to +2.7 Volts:

CAS Latency CL=2.5

Row Cycle Time tRC Bios Default

Row Refresh Cyc Time tRFC Bios Default

Ras# to CAS# delay tRCD 3

Row to Row delay Bios Default

Min Ras# Active Time tRAS 6

Row Precharge Time tRP 3

Write Recovery Time Bios Default

Write to Read delay Bios Default

Read to Write Delay Bios Default

Refresh Period tREF Bios Default

Enable 2T Timing Auto

Then test the system with http://www.memtest.org and make sure it's stable!

Are these the best for this motherboard?

What other options do I have?
