Recommended Posts

These are just 2 of the small modifications I did inside my current casemod project 'L3p L4n'.

Never posted here before because I never had any problems with Corsair products and didn't know there was a mod section here :P

It was too late to post the complete buildlog here but still want to share some Corsair mods.

The package!

First of all the small watercooled Dominator mod.

I really love the red fins and wanted to keep them :)

Hmm Corsair uses M2.5 ... Don't have them and certainly not longer ones

Ok re-tap them with M3 ...

The fins work fine, they get pretty hot when cutting them :)

But have other plans.

http://www.l3p.nl/files/Hardware/L3pL4n/550/P1120825%20%5B550x%5D.JPG

Sawing a piece of tinted acrylic.

Polishing

http://www.l3p.nl/files/Hardware/L3pL4n/550/P1120828%20%5B550x%5D.JPG

Taping the acrylic and glue it with transparent glue. (Becomes transparent when it's dry)

In the meantime further with the casebadge while the glue is drying.

One of the nicest badges I've seen.

Dr. Dre on it again.

http://www.l3p.nl/files/Hardware/L3pL4n/550/P1120832%20%5B550x%5D.JPG

Became hotter then I expected.

But who the heck makes 2mm thick badges :D

http://www.l3p.nl/files/Hardware/L3pL4n/550/P1120834%20%5B550x%5D.JPG

More then an hour of filing and sanding.

http://www.l3p.nl/files/Hardware/L3pL4n/550/P1120835%20%5B550x%5D.JPG

With the result.

http://www.l3p.nl/files/Hardware/L3pL4n/550/P1120836%20%5B550x%5D.JPG

Glue nicely dried.

http://www.l3p.nl/files/Hardware/L3pL4n/550/P1120837%20%5B550x%5D.JPG

One to go :P

http://www.l3p.nl/files/Hardware/L3pL4n/550/P1120839%20%5B550x%5D.JPG

Same ritual.

http://www.l3p.nl/files/Hardware/L3pL4n/550/P1120840%20%5B550x%5D.JPG

And the result.

I'm very happy with it :)
