hi,

im building a new system with the i5 3570K

i'll either use asus p8z77-m pro or the p8z77-v LE (any opinions on which i should choose?)

i still don't see the CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 listed anywhere on corsair's website or the board's QVL.

does this finally work with the asus z77 boards?

im in hong kong and here the retailers rarely entertain returns. once i'm out of the shop i'm stuck with it. so i want to be doubly sure that it'll work before i buy it.

thanks!

cheers

k

CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 modules are made for and tested on Intel Sandy Bridge chipsets so they would be compatible with either MB. As far as which MB to choose that is hard to say or suggest other than I would get the MB that has the options you want. They are basically the same Chipset so they should perform about the same.

  • 2 weeks later...

tried out the CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 on a p8z77-m pro

and im seeing the same error:

both sticks work individually in A2 or together in A1 A2

but system doesn't post if sticks are placed in A2 B2 (or A1 B1)

i've gotten a whole bunch of errors from the DRAM_LED, all the way from constant on, to slow blinks, to fast blinks

i've updated bios, cleared cmos, etc

seeing same issue in friend's MSI H77MA-G43

what do i do?
