hi i have a a7n8x-e board and the xms pc3200 LL memory 512mb. iv seen in tomshardware.com that they were running memory timming with there setup at 2-3-2-6. and they were running a bios version lower then what i currenty have. i believe it was 1008 and i have 1009 right now. so if i were to go ahead and run the 2-3-2-6 timming over my 2.5-3-3-6 timming im currently running would it be safe and as well benificial? thanks..

If your board will run those timings and remain stable, it will be beneficial. However, the only way to really tell is to experiment with it a bit. I'd suggest that you boot and run www.memtest86.com each time you try a new RAM setting. If it will run the test stable for a few passes, then try Windows. If it won't run Memtest, don't even try the OS. Also, set your RAM voltage up to, but not over, 2.8v. After you make these changes, I'd suggest that you do some testing to make sure it is stable. Mike.
