I have a Dell Dimension 8300, like everyone elses, based on the Intel 875p. It has 2x 256MB of PC3200 Samsung sticks. I know I can install PC3200 memory...what happens if I take out my Samsung's and put in 2 TWINX1024-3700's? What I don't understand is how adding memory at the PC3700 or even PC4000 affects my computer? Good or bad?

In that computer it will most likely not do any good at all to use PC3700. Dell does not allow the end user to be able to make the type of bios adjustments on their computers that you'd need to adjust to run the PC3700. I'd stick with the PC3200C2 or possibly even the PC3200 Value Select version. And, I'd suggest you check with Dell before you do any of it. I have seen some users have some really wierd problems upgrading memory in Dells. But, if you are going to do it, use Corsair (<<<< :evildevil subliminal message)
