Can this end cap be saved?

After a year of use, the end cap on my 32GB Flash Voyager has begun falling off of its own accord.

I could drill a small hole through the bottom, thread a small string through, and tie it to the top of the drive, but that would be a pain.

Would it be a bad idea to add a drop of, say, vegetable oil to the cap, to make it stickier? Obviously, the oil would get on the USB connector and travel from the USB Connector to USB ports. I'm guessing that's not a good thing, but don't know for certain.

Suggestions?

Please use the link on the left to request an RMA and in the process the second step you will see a link to request a new cap. If that link does not show up then please complete the RMA form and they will either RMA your drive or send a new cap.
