ThinkPad T520 with CMSO16GX3M2A1333C9, unstable

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T520 with an i7-2760QM and CMSO16GX3M2A1333C9 RAM installed. It has been running great for about two months, but a few days ago the laptop started being unstable, where programs randomly crash and the system bluescreens at least once a day. It also failed IntelBurnTest.


The laptop has been stable with the original 6GB of RAM switched back in, So I believe the 16GB RAM is at fault.


I tried to go through the RMA process, but CMSO16GX3M2A1333C9 does not show up in the drop down list for Computer Memory. What should I do?




EDIT: I noticed I typoed the model (CSM instead of CMS) for this post, but still, that model isn't on the drop down list.

You will have to log back into your case and complete the address and email information before I can change anything.

And it looks as though you have entered the part number manually so just proceed with the RMA.
