Stickers on RAM

Recommended Posts

Hi! I have a bunch of Corsair sticks, and have always enjoyed them. Now I bought two new ones, and was surpriced that they didn´t have the silver "holo"-sticker. Are these real Corsair RAM? Because they also are a little more shiny than the old satin finish. Is this a new design, or are they fake?
The only way to tell would be for you to post a pic of the memory here. As long as you bought it from a retail store, it's proably real though.
But I didn´t. I bought it second hand. It has white, smaller sticker. I have seen some 3200LL that looked like that also. And they run 2-3-3-7 perfectly at 217. No problems with them so far. I was just a little surpriced that they didn´t look like my other 3500 sticks. The white printing on the (shiny) black heatspreaders are exactly the same, and they look quite good. I was just curious if you have changed the design.

I believe Corsair has changed the design slightly over the years. FYI, you might want to read up on the warranty info if you ahve bought it from someone 2nd hand: Corsair Warranty Policy and FAQs

I have had lots of different XMS RAM (2100, 2400, 2700, 3000 and 3500), and none have ever let me down. I just wanted to know if they where the real thing.
