macky66 Posted March 29, 2012 Share Posted March 29, 2012 hi ive recently recieved my secound ssd and put them in a array and iam getting double the speed , now iam wondering will raid kill my drives if irst 10.8 dosent support trim in a raid array and is there a workaround for this thanx. FoLmEr Posted March 30, 2012 Share Posted March 30, 2012 I find it somewhat amusing that you've waited until AFTER you've set up everything to ask if it'll kill your drives :P I guess you already sort of knew the answer to that one... parsec Posted March 30, 2012 Share Posted March 30, 2012 The only thing that could be possibly "damaged", is their performance, and that is not permanent. If you used all the space in that volume, with no over-provisioning, the performance will decrease. Remove unneeded files, run Disk Cleanup regularly, and leave some free space, you'll be fine.
